Auto-mod, and a score that tells you what to fix
Most servers that get hurt had Mark Defender installed but half set up. v2.4 shows you exactly what is missing, and takes on the everyday mess: spam floods, server ads and shouting.
Security score
The Overview tab now scores your server out of 100 from ten checks: is there a log channel, a Quarantine role, a verification gate, trusted admins on the whitelist, and is Mark Defender above your admin roles. Every open check says how to fix it, so you can work down the list.
Next to it, a chart shows everything Mark Defender blocked in the last 30 days, day by day, with the most common kinds underneath.
Auto-mod
- Spam filter. The same message 5 times in 10 seconds, or 7 messages in 5 seconds, is removed and the sender is timed out for 5 minutes. On by default.
- Invite filter. Deletes invite links to other Discord servers. Invites to your own server always go through, even ones made a minute ago.
- Caps filter. Deletes messages of 15 letters or more that are at least 75% capitals. Mentions, emoji and links don't count toward it.
Moderators with Manage Messages, the owner and trusted admins on the whitelist are never filtered. Turn each one on or off on the Protection tab.
Premium reminders
If you run Sentinel Premium, Mark Defender now sends you a DM 7 days and 1 day before it ends, with a link to renew. If you already added a second key to the same server, you won't get one.
New address
The website now lives at markdefender.web.id. The old address forwards here, so existing links keep working.
